TVBrowser could probably get the setting from GTK, but offering the option to turn this on or off would be nice already. I really like TVBrowser, but it has too many icons for my taste

One small change that would improve GNOME desktop integration a lot would be using the same menu and button settings: on recent GNOME versions (2.28 and 2.30 series), there are no icons in front of menu items and also no items on buttons by default.

I'd also like to have TV-Browser better integrated with the Gnome desktop (and others). But currently I still don't know a reliable way how to read arbitrary Gnome settings from Java. If you know such a way, please give me a link or description.
