Seit der Version 2.5 wurden von uns 710 Dateien editiert, 17.000 Zeilen Code hinzugefügt und 20.000 Zeilen Code geändert. Oder anders ausgedrückt wurden 46 Bugs beseitigt und 100 Features hinzugefügt. Insgesamt hat TV-Browser bisher ca. 26 Arbeitsjahre Entwicklungszeit verschlungen, was bei kommerzieller Entwicklung ca. 1,4 Millionen Dollar gekostet hätte. (Quelle dieser Zahlen)
Deshalb ist TV-Browser 2.6 mit Abstand das Beste, was wir euch je geboten haben.
Und da wir euch nicht länger auf die Folter spannen wollen und natürlich auch an eurer Meinung zu TV-Browser 2.6 interessiert sind, gibt es ab jetzt regelmäßig neue Alpha/Beta-Versionen von TV-Browser 2.6 im Forum. Die finale Version wird noch einige Wochen brauchen, aber darüber geben wir noch einmal extra Bescheid.
Einige der 100 neuen Funktionen möchten wir hier direkt hervorheben:
- ihr erhaltet jetzt einen Hinweis, wenn neue Sender zur Senderliste hinzugefügt wurden, der Hinweis erfolgt ebenso für entfernte Sender
- SMS/EMail Erinnerung mit Hilfe von Google Calendar
- die Lieblingssendungen können jetzt einfach gruppiert werden
- ihr werdet automatisch auf Updates für die installierten Plugins hingewiesen
- Neuer Filter für Sehbehinderte: Hörfilm
- Einstellungen komplett überarbeitet

Somit bieten wir über 170 Sender für den deutschsprachigen Raum an. Soviel wie keine andere Fernsehzeitung für den Desktop.
Nun aber noch das Obligatorische: TV-Browser 2.6alpha1 ist eine Alpha-Version, enthält also wahrscheinlich einige Bugs. Deshalb sollten sich diese Version nur diejenigen installieren, die mit den auftretenden Bugs umgehen können, uns über diese informieren und bereit sind uns beim Auffinden dieser Bugs aktiv zu helfen.
Wir könnten übrigens noch einige neue Entwickler für die Programmierung von TV-Browser gebrauchen. Also sendet doch einfach Bugfixes/Features/sonstige Verbesserungen ein und wenn die unseren "hohen" Ansprüchen genügen
