Swedb Importer holt sich die Tv-Daten von http://tv.swedb.se/ und importiert sie in tvBrowser.

kleineren Denkfehler beim absichern gegen mehrfaches downloaden behoben.

Die Copyright-notice kommt nur noch beim ersten Update (und nicht jedesmal)

I get the following error messages during startup:

Move the file swedb.jar from /plugins to /tvdataservice .

swedb is not a normal tvbrowser-plugin but a dataservice.

Hi,

I was just wondering whether it is possible to get a short description of a program in the tv browser with this plugin? The title, cathegory and start/stop time works fine, but there is no short description of the show. Is there something I can do to add this myself?

Moin,

tvbrowser uses 2 descriptions: long (the one you get after doubleclicking on the show) and short (the stuff in the program-table).

XMLTV-Data just contains one "long" description. There is no summary/short-version. I can't use the long one for programm-table-description, as it would break the layout.

It would be possible to shorten the description and use the first XY words/bytes for a short-version. But i didn't have the time to implement that. If you know java: get the CVS, have a look at swedb/DayParser.java. it should be added after:

prog.setDescription (desc);

desc is a String-Object, containing the long version.

This is a good improvment. Soon I don't need to refer back to other tv listings at all. TV-Browser will be all I need.

But still there is a problem. I noticed that there is only a description for some (very few) of the programs whereas there is a description to every program in the swedb listings. How come? Can this be fixed easily?

hmmm... strange. Which channels and shows are affected ?

The data i get from swedb is here: http://tv.swedb.se/xmltv/ . Everything i can show is inside these files. They should contain everything swedb knows. A quick & dirty test didn't show any dropped information, but i don't have the time to search and doublecheck every file. I have no idea where these texts are lost.

Well, I tried again yesterday. It seems like less than 10% of the shows have a description in TV-Browser and 100% have descriptions in the XML file. Yes, it's strange. Can you verify that it works on your end? The channels I receive are all the Sveriges Television channels (SVT1, SVT2, SVT24, SVT Extra, Barnkanalen/Kunskapskanalen) and TV4.

Hmm... after upgrading to the latest version of TVBrowser the listings for the swedb channels doesn't work. After clicking on update the channels' tables are still empty. No error message given. I re-installed the swedb plugin but the problem still remains.

swedb (and all other my projects around tvbrowser) are on hold. Due to my job, i don't have the time and energy to make my code v2.0 compilent.

If anybody has a joboffer in/around luxemburg, Trier, Arlon,... let me know.
